CM Punjab Announces Free IT Training for One Million Youngsters

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has announced a plan to provide free online IT training to one million youth in order to help them become self-sufficient.

The training will be made available through a partnership between the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Re-Skills, a Malaysian company specializing in online learning.

The training will be provided to young people between the ages of 16 and 30 without cost, and will be accessible through a digital platform that can be easily accessed by those with smartphones.

The training is expected to generate millions of opportunities for self-employment. The Malaysian company will provide a technical grant worth $12 million to the Punjab government to fund the training, and the government will also provide necessary support to local and international technology companies to help with the training program. The CM added that the youth will have access to premium learning accounts for one year.
