Radio School to Provide
Distance Education
Recently the Education
Ministry has signed a MoU with Radio Pakistan to telecast educational contents.
The
MoU was signed between the parties on Friday 20 November 2020.It says that a Radio
School will be launched for the students to get education during the closure of
educational institutes across Pakistan.
A
ceremony was held and the officials of Education Ministry including Shafqat
Mehmood and the officials of Radio Pakistan were present at the meeting and
witnessed the signing ceremony.
The
Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood said that Radio school will be 2nd
biggest source of distance learning after Tele School which was launched in
March 2020.
He
further tells and appreciates the role of Pakistan Television for distance learning
during COVID-19 as Pakistan Television kicked off its special Transmission in
April 2020 for the students who were not attending their regular schools during
the pandemic.
The Tele School gave education to the students sitting at their homes. The duration of the transmission was 8AM to 2PM.They provided a complete schedule to every student of every class. It became very convenient for the parents and for the children to get education while at homes. These special transmissions compensated the educational loss of the students.
The efforts of Federal Education Minister Shafqat
Mehmood are worth noting as he is the most active minister in the field of
education. His policies for the spread of education are worth noting. He tries
to provide each and every facility to the students. Recently the Ministry is
working on providing same curriculum in every educational institute of
Pakistan.
